Survivors is a British post-apocalyptic fiction television series devised by Terry Nation and produced by Terence Dudley at the BBC from 1975 to 1977. It concerns the plight of a group of people who have survived an accidentally released plague – referred to as "The Death" – that kills nearly the entire human population of the planet.

The series takes place in a small Russian town where a deadly virus appears. Most of the inhabitants die, only a few people remain alive, who are affected by sleeping sickness: people cannot wake up on their own, and after two hours of sleep they fall into a coma.

A real married couple is blindfolded and dropped in remote regions, to read the clues, solve the mystery and make their best guess for which way to go. They don't always agree, and the stakes are a lot higher than simply making a wrong turn, it may be days of suffering and miles of struggling through the jungle if they are wrong. They must also use all their skills to read the sings like the plants, animals, winds, stars, and more, to navigate back to civilization. They are given minimal gear, a knife, 1 high tech gadget, 1 feminine gadget, and some other seemingly worthless items and it is up to them to figure out how to make the most of it as they must do whatever it takes to survive in the wild along the way, and hopefully, survive their marriage, too!

Otis Cooke is a DJ with a late-night American soul music programme in Liverpool. His favorite band, The Tallahassees, disbanded years ago, but their biggest hit, "Pickin' Up the Pieces," was never released in England. The film recounts Cooke's adventures and misadventures as he travels to the U.S., finds the band members, and convinces them to get back together for a reunion tour of the U.K and the release of their old songs on CD.

Having both lost their jobs, two strangers become unlikely friends after a run in with a would be robber, who is actually a hitman with a grudge against the two.

Lone Survivors takes place in the year 2033, twenty years after a fungal-based, brain-altering pandemic has spread and infected over 60% of the world's population. Since the outbreak, the world has gone into a state of panic and frenzy as officials try to fix and keep the situation under control. When the World Health Organization's attempts to procure a vaccine fail, the United States government does away with the bureaucrats in power and the establishment of civilian government. The country is turned into a police state under the control of homeland security and the military, and cities across the nation are placed under martial law one by one. Survivors of the pandemic are assigned to designated quarantine zones that are supposed to separate them from the infected and keep them safe.
